Description
Regular anodizing is a surface treatment process that uses acidic electrolytes to form an oxide layer on aluminum surfaces by controlling processing parameters such as current density, processing time, and electrolyte composition. It improves corrosion resistance, hardness, adhesion, and provides a certain level of protection and decorative effect.
Hard anodizing is an improved anodizing process that uses specific electrolytes and processing parameters to form a harder and more wear-resistant oxide layer. Hard anodizing typically requires higher current density and lower temperature to achieve higher oxide layer hardness and density. It is commonly used in applications that require higher wear resistance and corrosion resistance such as aerospace, automotive, and industrial sectors.
Conductive anodizing (also known as chemical conversion coating) refers to a process where aluminum alloys undergo a chemical reaction in a specific solution to form an insoluble compound film layer. The film layer provides certain corrosion resistance and is suitable for mild environmental storage or as a primer before painting. Due to its thinness (less than 1 micrometer), the film maintains good conductivity and is suitable for applications that require part conductivity and electromagnetic shielding.
Chrome plating is a surface treatment technique that involves depositing a layer of chromium onto a metal surface using electrolysis or chemical methods. It is primarily used for protecting the substrate material and improving its corrosion resistance. Chrome plating also enhances hardness for increased wear resistance and durability.
Nickel plating involves depositing a layer of nickel onto a metal surface using electrolysis or chemical methods. It enhances the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of parts.
Zinc plating refers to the surface treatment technique where a layer of zinc is deposited onto a metal, alloy or other material for aesthetic appeal and rust-proofing purposes.
Silver plating involves reducing silver ions into silver particles through electrochemical reactions and depositing them onto a metal surface to create a silver film layer. It provides corrosion resistance while enhancing conductivity, reflectivity, and aesthetic appeal.
Gold plating is a process where gold is deposited onto a metal or other object’s surface either through electrolysis or other chemical methods. It provides corrosion resistance and enhances thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity.
Multiple layers of paint are sprayed onto the substrate material (usually high-density board) after it has been polished to a certain roughness level. The painted surface is then baked at high temperatures for curing. Paint coating enhances the protective properties and compressive strength of the metal surface.
Teflon coating involves uniformly spraying Teflon coatings onto the surface of the material that requires treatment through compressed air or liquid pressure and then baking it at high temperatures to form a uniform thin film. This film has good adhesion resistance, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and effectively protects the material surface while providing improved usability.
Sandblasting is a process that uses high-speed abrasive particles to impact and clean or roughen the surface of a substrate material. Compressed air is used to propel materials such as copper ore sand, quartz sand, emery sand (aluminum oxide), iron sand, or Hainan sand at high speeds onto the material surface to change its appearance or shape.
Laser marking is a method of marking objects by using high-density laser beam energy to locally irradiate the workpiece’s surface to vaporize or cause color changes in the surface material through chemical reactions. This leaves a permanent mark on the material’s surface and serves various purposes such as anti-counterfeiting.
Blackening involves immersing the workpiece in a chemically aggressive solution such as sodium hydroxide (600g/cm³) mixed with sodium nitrite (100g/cm³) at temperatures ranging from 147-152°C to generate a black iron oxide film that is aesthetically pleasing, relatively dense, and provides rust protection.
Metal brushing is a surface treatment process that creates lines on the workpiece’s surface through abrasive polishing to achieve decorative effects.
Electrolytic polishing involves immersing the workpiece as an anode while using insoluble metal as the cathode in an electrolyte bath to carry out selective anodic dissolution through direct current (DC) reactions. This process removes fine burrs on the workpiece’s surface while increasing its brightness
